It is my aim and objective to ensure all modern services including medical treatment for Paikgacha-Koira people. I will always continue my best efforts in the work of human service. I am not alone and I am grateful to all those who help in this work. To stand by the poor and distressed people of one's own area, public service initiatives should be taken on a regular basis. Devoting oneself to the public interest is the work of a great man, we must always continue this.
Khulna Zilla Parishad Administrator, District BNP Member Secretary (Acting) and Khulna Red Crescent Society Chairman SM Monirul Hasan Bappi said these things while inaugurating the day-long free eye camp of Kharia Milnabeethi Government Primary School in Khulna.
Medical services were provided from 10 am to 3 pm on Thursday (August 20). During this time 355 patients received medical services.
Free eye camp held under the overall supervision of Satkhira Rural Eye Hospital was presided over by journalist Rabid Mahmud Chanchal. Dr. Soumitra Bairagi (MBBS) provided medical care to the patients coming to the camp at Satkhira Rural Eye Hospital and Md. Arafat Hossain, representative of Rural Eye Hospital, managed the camp. Out of the patients coming to the camp, 40 cataract patients have been identified. These detected cataract patients will be fitted with better quality lenses through free cataract surgery at Satkhira Rural Eye Hospital. Apart from this, out of the patients who came to the eye camp, 70 patients were examined and free glasses were distributed and 40 patients were given free eye medicines.
During the speech of the president, journalist Rabid Mahmud Chanchal said,I have been doing such service work for the past few years thinking about the common people of this neglected area of mine. Such activities will continue in the future.
