Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has held extensive public relations, women's rally and large public meeting in Khulna's Paikgacha ahead of the upcoming national elections. On Wednesday (February 4), top leaders of the party at the district and local levels took part in these programs in various unions of the upazila and great enthusiasm could be observed among the common people.
Multi-faceted program throughout the day
In the morning, the program of the day started by exchanging skills with the common people at Sholadana Union of the upazila. A special women's rally was then held at Malat Para, Habib Nagar, Kapilmuni Union. Several thousand women of the area participated spontaneously. As the main attraction of the program in the afternoon, a huge election rally was held at Hatbari Milni Secondary School grounds.
Chief Guest Speech: Maulana Abul Kalam Azad
Jamaat nominated candidate Maulana Abul Kalam Azad outlined the current political context and public welfare as the main speaker in the public meeting. He said in his speech:
"There is no alternative to the 'scale' symbol for peace, order and justice in the country's crisis. We want to build a society where people's fundamental rights are protected and corruption-free administration is ensured. This spontaneous participation of the common people proves that they want change. Inshallah, the people of Paikgacha will pave the way for justice by electing an honest and competent leader in the next elections."

Deluti Union President Md. Golam Mostafa Sardar presided over and former student leader Md. Ruhul Amin moderated the meeting by district and metropolitan leaders.
Maulana Golam Sarwar (Senior Naib Ameer, Khulna District): He directed to conduct election work in unity.
Advocate Lashkar Shah Alam (Assistant Secretary, Khulna Metropolis): He highlighted the role of Jamaat in protecting legal and political rights.
Maulana Aminul Islam gave a speech.

Solidarity of local leadersNCP leaders Adnan Asif and Mahasin Alam expressed solidarity with local Deluti Union leaders in the public meeting. Union Vice President Ah Rashid Biswas, Ah Sobhan Ghazi, Secretary Md Salim Ghazi, Organizing Secretary Manchurul Alam and a large number of leaders and workers of the organization were present.
Closing and grand procession
At the end of the speech, the Hatbari public meeting turned into a huge procession. The procession circumambulates the main thoroughfare of the area. The whole area became loud with slogans,Which makes the election mood more intense.
